Eminent research scientist Hikosaburo Sugiyama discovered and developed the Yabukita variety tea bush in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1984. Today, 80% of all tea grown and harvested in Japan comes from an offshoot of the original bush. We are very pleased to offer this first-picked tea. The drinker will find it well bodied and balanced. It is quite suitable for everyday enjoyment.
