USDA Organic Sencha Akatsuki is a mountain tea that is grown and harvested in the highly regarded Honyama area of Shizuoka Prefecture. It is a fine, very light tasting tea with little to no astringency, even from a second steeping. The liquid is amazingly clear. We recommend it to those who enjoy very light tasting Japanese green tea. This tea has been grown, processed and packaged according to the strict guidelines of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and is certified organic.

• Brewing instructions are not printed on Consumer (Bulk) packages. Please see the How To Brew page for brewing instructions. USDA Organic Sencha Akatsuki brews exactly like regular Sencha except for the brewing temperature. We suggest 70 C (158F). You may also want to brew for up to three minutes for a stronger taste.
