USDA Organic Sencha Akebono is a mountain tea that is grown and harvested in the highly regarded Honyama area of Shizuoka Prefecture. It is a fine, very light tasting tea with light astringency, even from a second steeping. The liquid is amazingly clear. We recommend it to those who enjoy very light tasting Japanese green tea. This tea has been grown, processed and packaged according to the strict guidelines of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and is certified organic.
